• Meals & Support: Mom's & Dad's expecting a new addition to their family can sign-up for a meal and visits from the membership. It's great to come home to a hot dish and a friendly face after all that labor! For our members with special needs (i.e. bed rest or high-risk pregnancies) we love to arrange extra help for your family. New-comers with out-of-town families welcome the extra support from MOYC and we enjoy giving it!
  
  
• Monthly Meetings: Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. (CST) at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church on Woodland Hills Dr. in Kingwood Texas. Summer meetings are always held at local restaurants and are fun, fun, fun!! (Please no children other than nursing infants at monthly meetings) Most of our meetings (except for summer) host a speaker on a Mom's or Children's issue. Past speakers/topics have included: Dietician (nutrition for families) CPR training Self-defense Interior design (holiday decorating) Financial planning Child psychologist (behavorial problems) Occasionally, we have other activities at our meetings such as a BUNCO game or a Christmas ornament and cookie exchange. If you have a good idea for a guest speaker or an activity, be sure to mention it to one of our board members! • Playgroups: Kids and moms both enjoy meeting for weekly fun, free play time and social time. Meeting days, times and locations are decided by individual groups. We currently have over 10 different groups going and more forming all the time!
  
  
• Kid's Crafts: Children love getting together to create masterpieces such as bird feeders, masks, ornaments, and decorating cookies. All craft activities are age appropriate and some crafts may even become treasured family heirlooms!
  
  
• BUNCO & Pokeno Groups: Great friends and fun! Most groups meet one evening a month in member's homes. If you don't know how to play, you can learn these easy games in five minutes and join in the fun!!
  
  
• Mom's Night Out: Join us one evening each month for fun and camaraderie at various locations, including the movies, live music, or hanging out at local eatieries for food, conversation, and spirits!
  
  
• Holiday Parties: Our annual parties are the highlight of each holiday celebration. At Halloween, everyone enjoys face painting, fishing for candy, and a parade of costumes. Santa always comes to visit at our Christmas party, joining us as we decorate cookies, go on sleigh rides, and make fun Christmas crafts. Imagine going on the best Easter egg hunt ever, and decorating your own eggs at our Easter party, and even hanging out with the Easter bunny! Come join us for holiday fun!
  
  
• Book Clubs: Get together with other moms who enjoy reading a good book. Club members meet once a month to discuss what they have read, share thoughts and ideas, and chat!
  
  
• Supper Club (Dad's Too!): Moms and Dads meet once a month to sample home-made culinary delights. Club members take turns hosting the dinner in their homes and everyone brings a dish to share!!
  
  
• Mommy & Me Outings: Join the group for a wide variety of field trips and outings. Among the places we like to go are the Children's Museum, Old McDonald's Farm, the Houston Zoo, berry picking, parks, and other kid-friendly attractions, such as Chuck E. Cheese. Group discounts often apply.
